Mingo Terms of Service

Effective date: September 9, 2026

These Terms govern your use of Mingo on mingoo.io, through the Discord Activity, and through development versions such as dev.mingoo.io. They are between you and the Mingo development team ("we", "us"), not Discord. By using Mingo, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use Mingo.

Use of Mingo

Mingo is a social game for entertainment. All players, including website guests, must meet the minimum age required to use Discord in their region. Where required, a parent or guardian must agree to these Terms for a minor. Use Mingo in compliance with applicable law. When using Discord features, you must also comply with Discord's Terms of Service and Community Guidelines. These Terms do not replace or override the terms that apply to your use of Discord.

No Real-Money Gambling

Mingo does not provide real-money gambling, betting, wagering, cash prizes, or items of monetary value. Do not use Mingo for gambling, betting, or illegal prize-based activity.

User Conduct

You agree not to:

Discord Account and Activity Access

The public website supports guest play and optional Discord login. Guests use generated names; Discord players use their Discord identity. Room names are generated in the room creation interface. Inside Discord, Mingo uses Discord's Embedded App SDK and may require authorization. Discord controls your Discord account, client, servers, channels, and Activity launch surfaces.

Mingo may limit an authenticated account to one active game session on a game server. Protect your account and session information, and do not share authentication tokens. Room hosts can manage room settings and participants within the controls available to them.

Quick Chat and Replies

Standard chat uses preset interaction buttons and emojis. Selecting an interaction sends a randomly chosen approved response; player and pattern selections determine who or what it refers to. Questions can offer quick reply buttons. Replies identify the original sender and question. Kick and Host interactions are requests in chat and do not themselves remove a player or transfer ownership. Developers can send free-text messages through their admin panel. Chat is visible to room participants and may also appear in the playground. Do not treat it as a private conversation.

Repeated interactions may be blocked and temporarily pause chat. Preset wording and anti-spam controls do not guarantee that all interactions are appropriate. The conduct rules apply to every player, including developers. Report concerns through the contact address below.

Developer Administration and Testing

Dev and Playtester badges are assigned by Mingo using Discord account IDs; they are not Discord server roles or endorsements by Discord. Restricted development versions require Discord login and one of these assignments. Assignments and testing access may change.

Dev accounts have administrative controls: they can enter private, full, or ongoing rooms and cannot be kicked through room controls. They can adjust their own or other players' scores, kick players, reset games, and add simulated players labeled as dummies. Room passwords do not prevent developer access. Playtester status alone does not grant these administrative powers.

Development versions contain experimental features and may be reset, interrupted, or changed without preserving game state. Scores and results are for entertainment and testing, have no monetary value, and can change through resets or developer administration.

Availability

Mingo is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We may change, suspend, or discontinue Mingo at any time, including for maintenance, hosting issues, security, abuse prevention, or changes to Discord's platform.

Our Privacy Policy explains how Mingo collects and uses information. You can read it at /legal/privacy.html.

Termination

We may restrict or terminate access to Mingo if we believe you violated these Terms, Discord's rules, applicable law, or if your use creates risk for Mingo, Discord, other users, or others.
